Can't equip ESPORTS skin purchased

Hello Gears Family,
I just purchased the “IT’S JOHNNY” skin in the Gears 5 store. It said ‘Press X to equip’, which I did right away, When I go to customize characters he doesn’t appear in available characters. How do I equip my purchased skin? kindly need feedback.

Have you unlocked the COG Gear?

The Johnny skin is a variant for the COG Gear.

Alternatively, if you have already done that you may have to restart your console for it to appear. This is a common kink for newly purchased items.
