Can we make rear executions "press and hold B"

I hate when this happens to me in escape but how many times have you been hauling through a hive and they to mantle over cover or stop dead in your tracks to accidently pull out a reject battery. It really is life or death in higher levels of escape

This never happened to me. And I played maybe a thousand Escape.

It has happened to me a few times, where I simply want to melee a reject and I accidentally trigger the rear execution. Mind you, I don’t play escape in higher difficulties, so never really got punished for it.

Sounds like a good idea though.

It seems like an issue, but I’ve never come across it.

That would be ridiculous. Rear executions have a split second to make them work, and having to hold the button would make them impossible.
