That’s not the case with me. I got sent all the way back. It happened again for the third time too. Got sent back.

Same thing happened to me in Act II Chapter 1 and before, when dying and reloading to a recent checkpoint, the game crashed or the load froze.
I think Microsoft rushed an unfinished game out the door for Christmas.
Anyone else campaign related achievements not unlocking? Completed the story but missing 1 achievement from act 3, complete campaign and hijack certain characters . I restarted the game and reload checkpoint but no luck
It’s even worse it seems. I had to restart missions 3-4 times because it glitched out the area to the next part of a mission.
Then when I restarted, the whole thing bugged and something weird happened and everyone died immediately upon the next screen and I was teleported back to a previous part of the act.
Oh and then my xbox got so hot that it shut down automatically because this game is literally THROTTLING my xbox fan.
I have the same problem with the checkpoint that doesn’t stop saving the game. I began to have this problem during the Act 2 and since this moment the problem appears sometimes. When I try to load the actuel checkpoint it doesn’t work but when I try to load the previous checkpoint I have an infinite loading screen that never stops loading, so I have to exit the game and relaunch the game. Each time I’m afraid that my save is corrupted and by luck it didn’t happen. And when I can load my save I restart to the previous checkpoint. Very annoying.
Is anyone else’s Campaign achievements unlocking? Mines stopped unlocking today. I’ve been playing offline though so that might be the problem. But even after I went back online, I still don’t have them unlocked. Idk what’s going on. Beat all of Act 2 but no achievements at all
This is by far for me the worst bugged launch, I always do campaign first on insane to get it out the way but currently its a total disaster with freezes, checkpoint crashes, restarts, enemies getting stuck somewhere etc
if this whole thing resets my stats to zero I am out, no way I am going to do it again

Have you unlocked any achievements from campaign today? I beat all of Act 2 on Insane and no achievements
100% agree just finished ACT 3 and my game has crashed 9 times booting me to the xbox main menu and the collectables i pick up don’t even register
not yet, I am about to give it a try, hopefully its better today
Also I find the Gnasher so overpowered in campaign , I know its insane but Gnasher is close combat so going full red from a mile off is ridiculous
I just play it offline… problem solved
I’m stuck on act 1. First battle with scion after the db drop looking for office. After beating them I got glitches back before the opening. When you duck under a door. I cant go further now. I’m stuck after checkpoint reset…wtf also should the collectables just be spinning cogs even when you pick them up? Had to go to previous checkpoint. Also I saw some rifles in a case glowing and you couldn’t pick them all up just 2 of them. One remains. Battle outside by first turrent
Just play offline… no need to stress
Just played campaign and it shows 0 collectibles , it also seems to freeze quite regularly now and the only way out is to quit game and reload which makes you go back to you last saved check point

I had to start another game…
One of the Act 3 achievements didn’t unlock, and I didn’t get the achievement for beating campaign even though I did. I don’t really want to replay campaign until I know it will work.
