Buff the boomshot

Everyone has been saying this for MONTHS but I just played a FFA diamond game in which the only difference between me coming in second and first place was the fact that I got 3 boomshot hitmarkers in the game, 2 of which should’ve been double kills. I don’t understand why this thing is so ■■■■■■■ weak it should be the best power weapon in the game. The splash damage is a joke, I should never be getting a hit marker when I fire a boomshot at somebody’s feet. It makes absolutely no sense.

Agreed I’d buff the splash damage, it should blow you to pieces.

I’d increase the respawn time though, I feel the boom shot comes into play far too often, can get annoying.

I don’t play much PVP, but I found some big inconsistencies.

There were several instances where I was pushed into firing my Boomshot into an enemy or into the floor next to us, and normally I would have expected both of us to die, but in all instances one of us would actually survive. Seems like a bit of a lottery.

Buff the one gun that is the easiest point and shoot to get a kill?

Same here. Majority of times, I found that the person shooting the Boomshot survives.

I was a bit surprised how weak the Boomshot has become (un-active). I literally shot on the feet of the enemy and they just stood there as if nothing happened.

That thing is a rocket launcher ffs, people have to blow up!

As the other guy suggested, just increase the respawn time and it should be fine.

Maybe it’s Sera-physics-biology? I mean these meathead characters can punch a head to mulch in seconds, so it probably takes a nuclear warhead to blow them up.

Grenades feel like small Thermonuclear bombs, but a boomshot without an active reload feels like shooting a pebble at someone with a good amount of force.

Planted grenades are useless though. So many times you can lick them off and carry on with minor damage

No better feeling than bum rushing boom hoping that he wastes it take himself out, willing to make that sacrifice, just so they can’t use it on my leader. shoot me in the face while I’m literally right in front of them, but they survive.

yep! It should be even easier.

I remember when they changed it to 3 shells, that was a joke.

The boom is fine the way it is.

Active boomshot is still very strong; no buff necessary. The reason why you are getting so many hit markers with boomshot is because you’re not waiting to get actives before firing. If you’re getting many hit markers with active boomshot then you’ve been aiming very poorly. If you don’t have time to get an active then normal boomshot still gets a one shot kill if it lands directly on the enemy or in close proximity so I do not see a problem with that either. Even the boomshot should take some skill and/or thinking to use; buffing it would mean the easiest weapon to get a kill with in the game becomes even easier to use.

I was going to say the same thing… You need to get Actives … nd it spawns way too frequently to be buffed… It used to be OP pre nerf the splash damage was insane now it takes more skill instead of bein a noobtube… And @ImXarexUwU imo they should remove the ability to see enemy planted grenades in tac com to make it challenging
