Brumak fight help

Hello,
If this is the incorrect spot to post this kind of topic let me know and i will delete it.
I’m struggling with this fight. Any advice on how you completed it? I’m playing on experienced.
I’ve attempted the fight atleast 5 times. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I’ve tried it and lost 10 times on Experienced, and have never even come close to beating him. Just getting annihilated.

I got him down to 50%. I destroyed the machine guns on his arms first. If you can do that he pretty much only fires those rockets into the air. Stay out of melee range. The sink holes are a bit much tho lol.
I’m going to keep trying until i down this mo foo.

I haven’t played the game but I seen someone do the fight, and it looked like they just got their squad split into 4, with 2 on either side of the Brumak, as it turns every time it takes damage to the tank. SO you can just have your squad take turns shooting it and avoid the missiles as they come down.

What @Buster_McTunder said

It’s much easier to just focus on the tanks and take the chambers out

Beat it first try thanks to Mikayla and Steve Carmine ( my own creation) writing with his Mulcher. Save your frags for e holes and take those out asap

For what it’s worth, playing on ‘Experienced’ difficulty, I found the battle MUCH easier when taking the guns out first. I probably lost a dozen times attacking the tanks first – there was just too much for my squad to deal with once the e-holes opened if both guns were still in action.

I also think there’s an element of luck involved. On my first attempt going after the guns, only 1 e-hole w/ 2 Wretches opened. All previous attempts, 2 e-holes opened with a total of 6 Wretches. Additionally, I critical hit 3 times on the first turn so I was able to take one gun out early in turn 2. The second gun went down on turn 4 and I took no damage for the remainder of the encounter. It took many turns to get the tanks, but it was easy to avoid the stomp and rocket attacks and the occasional adds. One small tip: don’t be afraid to use the pistol when your main weapon is out of ammo. It does only minor damage but still forces the Brumak to spin, potentially exposing the tanks to soldiers on the opposite side.

I’m still stuck on the fight LMFAO. I tried for a good 5 hours straight.
I agree with you @ASA_Computing the fight does involve a bit of luck.
The problem I’m having is the Brumak won’t target another party member (I assumed the Brumak targets whomever attacks the tank on his back) so my dudes go down pretty quickly. To make matters worse you cannot close an Emergence Hole until it has opened so you have to strategically place your dudes in a spot to be able to close the E-Hole after the wretches come out. If i place a dude close to the hole in anticipation of that unit to close the E-HOLE my guy generally goes down because all the wretches immediately go to the dude I’ve placed in a spot to close the E-HOLE.
My biggest problem is closing the E-HOLES without being downed by a wretch.
But i will not give up!
Thank you all the for tips and tricks you’ve provided on how you have defeated the boss. I will down this mo fo eventually lol.

You can close an E hole before it opens by placing a planted grenade in its centre. Saves any wretches coming out.
