Bring back ability to see others players' ranks after match

Let’s be honest, the point of ranked for most people playing it isn’t just for matchmaking with players of similar skill. That’s a big part of it, but I’d wager most of us in those playlists are competitive and want as many bragging rights publicly displayed as possible.

That said, I’m not a fan of removing the ability to see anyone’s rank after a match. I think the reason this was done was because people were unhappy about getting wildly different ranks in the same match, but… I mean, maybe work on that? I don’t think bad matchmaking is a good reason to take away those public-facing commendations; it’s not like we can’t tell when a match is unfair anyway, and now that we can see skill points, I feel like that should be a moot point.

Anyway… that combined with the fact that no one even knows whether you re-upped or not just makes me feel like “another name” in the online arena with nothing to show. Let me stroke my ego some more, TC!

yeah ranks are pointless if you can’t see them.

Yeah the leaderboards and stats in this game are completely lazy. My dog could of done a better job. Gears 1,2,3 had good leaderboards and stats… this game… it doesn’t even make any sense. Full of 2.39 Elims per min almost everyone in my friends list, is that even possible?

I agree with the leaderboards comments, go look at the war journal from 4 and tell me this is anywhere close. To add on to the rank point, we should have more visibility to ranks in the lobby and I think there should be more visibility to ranks for people that have re-upped. It shows the re-up very briefly while loading into the game lobby but nothing after that. It should be visible at all times so it’s obvious someone is re-upped and not a true rank one.

Is this gonna be added?

Agreed.

Don’t know why they removed it in the first place…

I hope so, man. It sounds like TC is more concerned with fixing the skill points first, which is fair enough. But even if rank works perfectly, without any public display and stats in general, I’m still not sure how much I’ll care to put time into it.

Agreed.

Show everyone’s ranks after the match like in gears 4.

I also want to see people’s reups at all times. Is someone going to really quit by seeing a high or low reup? (Excluding horde and escape).

It’s an indication of time spent, not skill (for the most part). Even if someone is reup one, level 20, they could still be an ex diamond player from gears 4. You can’t judge on reup alone. So there is no point in hiding it.
