Dude, he just told you that MW 2K19 just went on sale for nearly the same discount. It’s just Black Friday sales.

Many of us have a problem that the game was released half-baked, but this is major reaching just to find another reason to dump on TC.

Buyer’s Remorse is real, I get it. That’s why I stopped buying day one Gears since 4’s lousy “ultimate edition”. You should have taken the Gamepass deal, on the real.
That’s no excuse for a half-baked product, but you gotta watch out for your wallet too, fan or not.

The reason the price dropped so hard for TR was because it’s sales were way below what they hoped for. You can’t blame them for that.

Totally agreed with you @theolreverend If they’ve just released a GREAT GAME, it shouldn’t be need of lower the price of the game instead they would actually make it stay in the same price for a longer a time, and it means more MONEY for them

Doesn’t bother me one bit. I got mine for free so it’s cool. However, if we knew this game was going to be horrible, TC and MS should’ve paid us to play it instead.

Yea. First post, was mad about the price of Gears 5 dropping so low on on Black Friday just 2 months after release. And I responded because the game is trash and everyone knows it. So…um…yea lol

For some people, receiving a copy of GOW5 would not constitute an act of love. I imagine for some it would be considered an act of war given how poor it is. :neutral_face:

Black Friday Deal’s happen every year at the same time, every year. Question is, did you know this. May i also point out, there are sales at new year too. New Year Sales.
It really is a question of, did you know. if so, who is at fault here, Microsoft, or the fan boy getting his fix. I mean, seriously, knowing there is going to be a sale in just over 2 months, and yet, still paying full price at launch. It is a question of knowledge and/or stupidity.

This isn’t about when, it’s about how much.
If the game had been good, and not the crap that it is, I can guarantee you that they wouldn’t be selling it for 50-60% off within 2 months of its release.

Can’t complain, got the Ultimate edition for half price and I am pretty happy! But this is why I don’t buy games day 1, plus the fact that most AAA games are broken at launch or most content doesn’t even drop a month or 6 later… Finally, FOMO can kiss my behind!!!

Does anyone actually read threads before adding their $0,02 anymore? It was pointed out yesterday that Modern Warfare was given a similar Black Friday discount. Is it crap too? Or are these kinda discounts just pretty normal for Black Friday maybe?

Cripes, you can still think the game itself is a pantload all you want. That doesn’t require trying to contort facts to fit your chosen opinion.

I am unsure what you are complaining about. Pretty much every video game gets its prices reduced at some point. And that all depends on how well its doing. You might be un-happy about the game itself, but complaining about the price reduction is just complaining to complain. It makes no sense for them to keep the price high if demand is low. That is simple economics. Find a new soapbox homie. This one is weak at best.

If I want a game day 1 I pay day 1 prices. More than happy with that and the fact others can pick up later for 20/30% or more cheaper I’m also more than happy with.

It is all about choice, you choose or you don’t.

By the way, those discounts for Gears 5 came weeks before Black Friday so, you should find out before you write.
