I think 30% is pretty tame. 76 went on a 50% sale a week after release.
Yes, i agree but im saying it from the standpoint that microsoft wanted big money out of gears 5 so TC went on to find ways to get extra dollars.
Apparently MS did get big money out of it. Between people who bought the game outright and people that went out and extended their live service for another 1, 2, or 3 years to get the $1 deal
And I doubt its all on TC with the mtx. They probably have some guidlines they have to follow with MS

Except the game isn’t worth 20 dollars. 90 percent of the people paid 2 dollars and left after there gp expired. Gears Should be a free to play. Well received? Lol

bruh, no AAA game that’s met with critical acclaim and unanimous praise goes down 50% in price in 2 months post release, regardless of sales, black friday or xmas.
Gears 5 is 50% or more off due to its absurd 70€ launch date price and due to it being riddled with bugs and stability issues.

right?! i mean, hell, Doom Eternal got delayed from November this year to March 2020 because they wanna release a polished product, not a mess.
Exactly. Know what’s funny too is I don’t even remember any backlash for the GoW3 delay. Disappointment of course but the general feeling was we would rather have a finished game than a rushed product.

I was talking about Borderlands. but even if it was Gears my point still stands. It’s a black friday sale, I’m surprised there’s outrage over it.

Imagine - GOW is so mediocre nowadays that the only joy I get out of GOW is watching drama between community members.

Yea. I mean, I still like talking GOW and seeing where it’s at in this turbulent time in the franchise. Hoping it’ll pull through.
But, the community drama is entertaining too. People coming in here, trying to claim they’re making some greater point, then when their argument is challenged, they fall apart an revert to, “F U kid!”

Evolve was such a huge disappointment after all the pre-release awards and hype that they eventually made it free to play. Massively boosted the playerbase for a few weeks before dwindling back down to nothing. They put a lot of post-launch work into the game but it was too late.
Gears 5 isn’t quite as bad but there are definite similarities.
