Be thankful of TC and TC do something BIG

my opinion: people are so arranged that they only talk about bad things and about shortcomings. But this does not mean that the game is bad or that it does not have huge advantages. I think everyone who came to this forum likes this universe and these people are not indifferent to the game. Those people who do not like this game and this developer simply will not come to this forum.

I would really like the developers to know that all the community supports them, and listen to the requests of the players, and not take criticism negatively

In my opinion those players who come here and write about real flaws or not very good solutions are very valuable people, they help the developer to make the game better, and if the game is better, then there will be more people playing it.

Actual example: I know at least 10 people from my environment who will not buy 5 part because of long cumulative achievements 100,000 kills in multiplayer or 40 prestige, and at the time when I called them to 5 part of these achievements were not there, but everyone was afraid of the future achievements seriously 5.0 chapter 2. Or, for example, I have 4 people who do not play in the 4th part of the series, because there you still cannot get the skins you need to get 2 achievements. Yes, many will say that achievements are not important, but if so then why complicate those people who play for the sake of obtaining them, life? thereby pushing them away from the acquisition of subsequent parts of the series.
In 4 parts there were paid chests with skins, and many bought them until they were removed from sale, the question is - why? yes there are people who do not like loot boxes, but do chests with skins affect the gameplay? - no, they do not, then why did the developer deprive himself of income from those people who need these chests? - unclear.

We are the same players who come to this forum in order to convey to the developers the thoughts and desires of those who are just too lazy to write something, in order to make the game a little better, many just sit and wait until the developer himself thinks out what is wrong with his product. on some sites I was asked to give a link to this forum because people are too lazy to fill in the search bar - Gears forum)))

ik u guys r probably more focused on fixing the game and all but y not take time away from that and focus on something to make the fans hype for, like an actual event that will keep them interested

So I suffered through most of your post but this was where I stopped.

So your grand idea is for TC to stop trying to fix the game and instead focus on creating a super duper really really special yay! event for the said game that needs fixing.

Thank goodness the people in the job of minding football pitches don’t do that. Stopping halfway through treating a pitch to instead paint pretty pictures on the football itself.

It is a game that costs 70 dollars and since it came out it has been broken, free bust is worth nothing, why do I want xp if I am not going to play it because it is broken, boring? there are free to play games that show more love for their game

You are quite ignorant aren’t you? You apparently haven’t read enough of the forums so let me give you some sight on this;

-Most of the community (if not all) have been giving our feedback on what we expect and wanted from Gears 5 ever since the beta… THAT was the whole point of the BETA.

-We have been voicing our suggestion since Gears 4 as well and there was still time for adjustments and everything to be added.

-The whole game came out unfinished and sloppy with glitches that still haven’t been fixed.

-The game should’ve just been delayed although with MS pushing for early release time constraints for the studio is understandable.

-The main director Rod Fergusson clearly wasn’t passionate about gears as Cliff Blizenski was and the game MP designer wasn’t aware of how previous gears game ran and how to code or even where to begin to try to fix weapon tunings.

Again with them stepping down i believe gears is better but MS should also learn from their mistakes.

EDIT: If we pay something for a game even if it is $1 you should expect it to be finished, imagine you go into a restaurant and you buy a burger and fries but you only get the burger delivered and it’s only half-cooked… thats like gears 5 right now in its state… half cooked and no fries.

In either way TC should thank of what’s left of the community because they still are pour some dollars here and there for Gears 5 .

If I would be them I would be thankful to us to be honest, not the other way around.

My apologies to everyone for having to hear my ignorant opinion I am clearly much more uninformed on all these topics than the majority of this community.

Truth be told, this is this was my first ever post which I posted on my very first day of even knowing this site existed and I haven’t even played gears 4 or 5 for as long as the rest of u have. As a matter of fact not too long ago (a month and a half ago to be specific) I didn’t have an xbox 1, I only had an xbox 360 but I was always a huge fan of the gears of war franchise.

I was given a copy of the gears of war 2 collectors case with a copy of gears 1, gears 2 limited edition bonus disc, and codes for a map pack and the gold lancer . At this time there were only 3 video games I had ever played ; minecraft, gears of war 1, and pac-man. I got SO into the series from just the first game.
Little did I know the game came out in 2006 and I was 1st receiving and playing it in 2013 or 14.

Eventually I got all the gears game available in 360 but one day (a month and a half ago) i got red ring and my 360 would only partially work. I could play it for like 30-40 minutes then the red ring came back and it shut off completely and I couldn’t play for another 2 hours. Until it was dropped on the floor and stopped working all together.

But to my surprise, 3 days later my family got a package in the mail my uncle had ordered. And when I opened it omg I was speechless. An xbox 1 x with gears 5 ice omen design which came with an elite remote that had a design that looked like kaits armour, it even had grip textures on the triggers! And ofc a code for gamepass, gold membership, I was so excited I hoped straight on gears 4, played that for a while then 5

So ya I didn’t actually start gears 5 until operation 4 my apologies for posting opinions without doing enough reading or being around long enough

I’m talking tdm… now I’m at the mercy of 2 players all because people complain when there’s specific modes for duo & solos

You are absolutely 110% right and this is another thing. People who are defending Gears 5 i have no idea how they can rationalize the argument. If it wasn’t for what was left of “us” very little die hard community who do spend money here and there to try to support them ALTHOUGH the game was a mess we still have faith and are showing our support. But when our feedback and other pleas for help and feedback is ignored it really frustrates and angers us.

To re-iterate we realise TC are trying to fix the mess others made but i have seen other games where a mess can be fixed much faster. But maybe OP5 really will be a MASSIVE change and if it is my faith may be restored. We shall see.

Rocket League is pretty good.

It has a high skill level curve, something Gears use to have.

However Rocket League suffers from the same type of problems with rank matchmaking as Gears does.

You encountered someone who probably just hops game to game, after 10mins of play with each.

Hey OP it would help if you actually spelled the words out instead of taking shortcuts. It’s really hard to understand when you can’t read it fast enough, trying to decipher all the shortcut words instead of reading your message.

Anyways as a player who’s a big fan of Gears and wants it to evolve into something better. They pretty much have been rehashing modes and ideas from the prior of games. In Gears Judgment they took a risk and it was one I liked because they truly innovated Gears but they messed up when they made it COG VS COG in Versus. The only mode that truly felt authentic was OVERRUN because it was COG VS Locust.

In Gears 4 they had a smooth direction but again rehashing the same modes and nothing innovative besides Horde. I like Gears 4 and it’s okay to have staple modes in it but I think Gears needs some new modes that will have players say now this is different and they might actually stick to it if it’s fun. The RNG system was not liked but we can understand why they implemented it to make some money.

Gears 5 my first impression when I played the Beta was that it was great but you knew it had connection issues. Then it launched and players looked at the skeleton roster and felt ripped off. Horde was locked with certain characters with certain abilities, I like horde and it could’ve been better but obviously that was not the way to go. This game has lots of problems with guns with shotgun not firing like you would expect and some rifles are overpowered but we adjusted to what was given to us. Escape was probably the only thing innovative and I give them props for that but we need new modes. OVERRUN would have been a great addition to play and something else that is not just shoot and kill modes for versus.

I think even being able to race with the skiff against other players would be a nice mini game or the motorcycles in the woods like in Gears 4 Campaign. Or shooting range challenge against other players. Just thinking outside the box I love to be creative and put ideas out there.

If anyone has ideas throw some out there I’d like to hear about them.
