A lot of people here definitely care both deeply and passionately and most of those people get their point across (both positive and critical) with intelligence and respect.
However, passion should never be an excuse for why someone is being volatile and abusive, and in my opinion the constant slamming of the devs and communication teams need to stop, itās toxic, unproductive, self-centered, and childish.
Criticism and feedback are a lot harder to listen to when youāre being personally attacked in the process (as both an individual and a large company).
So yeah, Gears 5 didnāt have a great launch, it was unfinished, and very buggy, and it definitely felt like the devs were not listening to their core player base at the time.
The new team are (definitely) listening and itās up to us to be patient but keep giving productive feedback, as not only does the new team need time to settle in but they also have external forces to deal with that the previous leadership didnāt.

I agree that people need to remain respectful and constructive.
From what Iāve seen there are some people (many I think are young) that donāt fully understand how to use their words towards a positive outcome. In fact you could lump me into that simply because some of the things Iāve wanted like prioritizing server stability over nerfs - I havenāt always been too understanding when they gave us nerfs and left the servers brittle.
I know that theyāre people and that they may have forces beyond their control impacting what and why they do things but in my human fallibility I might just miss the opportunity to state or restate my case constructively.
So like I said - I agree with you that people should never be disrespectful or toxic. Everybody needs to have empathy for the difficult problems being addressed. Everywhere that Iāve failed to heed that though - maybe I can get a nugget of empathy too. I straight up couldnāt see how nerfing STTE was more important than server stability or the chainsaw bug or 20,000 excess score boost cards and I might have been angry then. I may take advantage of Gears being down long term to try and get a life

Not true at all. Iāve had the same incompetent coworker working with me for 2 years. Smells like ā ā ā ā , dumb as hell, no business having a job anywhere but McDonaldās. Yet heās an electrician. So no, incompetent workers arenāt just fired.

Youāre very right. My theory on why he even still has a job with the company is that skilled blue collar workers are so hard to come by anymore, theyāre praying he turns into something. But I knew the guy in high school, and I know he isnāt going to amount to anything but someone for everyone else to yell at, deservedly of course.

Exactly. Multiple coworkers and myself filed multiple complaints and nothings been done. He missed 2 months of work being an idiot and breaking his wrist by trying to move a stack of 15 pieces of drywall by himself, dropped them, and got his wrist crushed between the drywall and a wooden stud stupidly trying to catch them. Some people just canāt be helped, even though every experienced guy heās worked with has tried their damndest to teach him.

The funny thing about posts like this is weāve seen them on Gears 3 forums, Gears 4 forums and now Gears 5 forums. Everything about Gears 3 and 4 was great and they shouldāve build on it and not reset everything and go back to square one to āfix gnasher, wall bouncing, lancer, story campaign, PvEā
Weāve been there and done that. Weāre tired of waiting for Gears 5 to be as good as Gears 4 when it shouldāve been from the start and build upon it. They already have an architect but no builders.

@avaramis I donāt think Iāve ever found you to be disrespectful or toxic, Iāve seen you rightly upset about things but youāve always come across as someone trying to keep TC accountable and Iāve never seen you be outright hostile.
I completely agree that these servers need to be fixed before anything else should ever be focused on, although Iād really like the chainsaw bug and the score boost exploits dealt with ASAP
@TC_Clown unfortunately for me (and my position on supporting TC) I really like your GamerTag and would be disappointed to not see it around anymore

Thanks, thatās cool. I know I was angry when they nerfed STTE while preserving the chainsaw bug so there was a high risk of me coming across toxic if I didnāt control myself well enough. Iām glad if I didnāt - if I did I would hold myself accountable. No one is perfect but the more we try the better we do; and the more accountable we are the more reasons we have to try
