Asking a Developer: Does wall bouncing close to a wall cancel out decelerated acceleration? Does anyone know?

I’ve been looking into possible ways to have the movement speed deceleration at starting wall bounce, not affect my gameplay or my love for gears. (haven’t played for some time now, I will consider it if this is true, But just to let you know, Ideally, the ideas I’ve posted before on this topic are still ideal. [in case you think this solves movement speeds, and w/what’s best ])
