I started playing Gears 4 last month, after a bit of a break, and I see Arms Race is no longer a menu option. It would appear that the only way to play it is to go into Social mode and hope to get lucky that it gets voted on. Which is insane. Is there ANY other way to just play this particular mode?
I actually liked Arms Race. It was great practice to get used to ALL the weapons that were available as pick ups. Especially some power weapons like the Embar, Longshot, Torque or Markza. Where there are only a couple and people always fight over them and get salty if you get to it first.

I understand your frustration with social, but it’s honestly the best they can do. If they allowed you to choose to play it you would be versing bots bc nobody plays it due to being an unpopular mode. Social is a mess that needs work, but at least this way you can actually get into Arms race matches with players.

For social they could have a preferred mode choice. Basically if you wanted to play a warzone match, you select that; then it would search for that match type. If matchmaking can’t find you one within a certain amount of time, it puts you back into the general search.

It can be played in Private too, against bots.

Just go into a private with bots and change the pickup weapons to whatever you want
