Are you in favor of less detailed gore in the Gears of War series?

Because the 360 games only ever targeted 720p30 (which they dropped to low 20’s pretty frequently), and not 1080p60, Since developers are usually caring more about their multiplayer experience, they need to tone down some things in order to make sure everything stays at 60FPS no matter what’s going on.

And adding some ribs and organs would devestate the 60 FPS? I´m not really sure about that. Did TC mention that at some point?
I personally would be fine with 30FPS, if it meant better graphics and gore.

Honestly, I don’t really care. Like, at all.

People say they loved this game for the gore, and the detail of it. Fine. But for me, I preferred the story, the MP modes, Horde (my first Gears game was Gears 2) was an experience that, at the time, wasn’t really replicated anywhere else.

So am I in favour of less detailed gore? No. Am I in favour of more detailed gore? No. I honestly don’t care. It could have incredible detail, or be pieces of red on the floor, and I really wouldn’t care.

I would say, hopefully, next gen the Gears game will go back to being gory. More powerful hardware gives teams more room for stuff like that. I personally would like more detailed gore, specifically because of the campaign. Multiplayer, it’s a nice aesthetic to have, but you’re moving quickly. In campaign, it can really add to the feel of the game since you’re more likely to walk around and admire things.

after watching that link, i never noticed how bad the dismembering was and the bloodsplatters. not spreading over walls. it looked rushed.

Gears2 chunkings were the best!
Body a guy and it looked like he got kung-fu kicked backwards

Nowadays, the chunks just hit the floor and roll around like tumbleweeds

You still get a pretty satisfying and comical ragdoll no matter which gears you get a headshot in

I hope there is more of that explosiony gibs and not so much heavy gravity gibs in the new gears

Not rushed, but limited by the constraints of the tech and the time.

Gore is fine as is. Don’t care. Definitely way way low on my list of things needing improvement.

GOW is meant to be bloody, and have lots of gore, that is a part of the appeal for executions.

No. To be honest, i’m not in favor it’s a gears game, in my eyes it’s the “Doom” game of the third person person shooter world in a way, this game is all about the ruthlessness of war with big guns, jacked up soldiers and crazy ■■■ monsters.

In reality though when you’re playing ranked and focused on kills, staying alive and objectives to you really don’t stop often to focus on how cool it was someones head blew off? Sometimes I get a chuckle but as long as it doesn’t become too censored then it will be okay.

The game was designed to be a horror type game cliffy b talked about this while developing gears 1

Also with Scarlett releasing next year there should be no excuse to having better gore and fibbing… They should take advantage of using better physics… Everything on a game should evolve for the better not worst. Its more immersive having these changes.

Doesn’t matter to me. I normally close my eyes and shoot.

Perfect video examples proving my point. Thanks for playing, but you stood no chance against someone who actually plays this game and cares about it. GFY~~~

“Who actually plays this game and cares about it,” dude you dare too much. I no lifed Gears 4 and sat down to play the Gears 5 campaign in one sitting, but jeezus dude this is now a dead horse that you’re beating and I honestly hope I have the option to change all the blood into Gears 3 flower blood Because this thread is so irritating.

I’ve been playing day 1 of Gears 1. Nobody cares if you played the Gears 4 campaign in one sitting lmfao.

How is this a dead horse when this video just came out? Now that the games out, more people are not okay with it. I just had to reply to you to show irrefutable proof of how you’re wrong since you seemed so sure of yourself. But now your tactic went from saying I was wrong to saying nobody cares since you have no argument. GFY~~~

I understand some say they don’t care about the violence and such but it’s not the violence totally. When they take things out in general it should not be a good thing or ignored this is like in many games it makes it less real, attention to detail is important to make things believable or stand out.

As much as I don’t need the violence, after seeing comparisons it’s not a good thing to take things away I think that is a way to look at it maybe than just violence stuff.
