The game is already in a pretty good place IMO. 6-9 months from now is a bit of a stretch. You should at least try out Operation 3 in a few weeks.

No. I’m completely satisfied. I was #1 in warzone for a year straight in the original gow & im completely satisfied.
I don’t understand why people aren’t satisfied. I have a theory, that they suck, but admin told me to be positive so I will.
Besides. If you’re a real gear head this game has always had its issues, be it people glitching out the map & you having to glitch out to fight them or the host issues. It’s never been as prime as it is today . Yes it’s aggregating dying but most people really miss their shots. So my suggestion , as a pvp veteran, is to switch settings on your controller & modify them to a style that fits you & practicing.
My sensitivity is on all 30’s & inner outer is on 2. I usually don’t die at all in pvp. Unless it’s koh & I have an old as heck Xbox so if I had a pc or a new xbox my shots would be prime but even so I’m always on the top in pvp. Used to be #6 I tdm but I started playing with other modes like koh , guardian, 2v2. I’m diamond in all the modes, usually just run with a friend or myself.
If you scroll through some threads you’ll get a very detailed view of everything people don’t like about this game.
If anything, it’s strange how anyone could be completely satisfied by an AAA game with so many issues and design flaws. You must have extremely low standards.

My standards aren’t low. I just throw down. I don’t see anything wrong with gears 5. Every time someone complains I just think they suck. To be blunt.
I don’t think it’s blunt, you’re simply wrong. Your standards are low if you don’t see anything wrong with Gears 5. Or you just choose to ignore all negative feedback.
I really don’t see anything wrong with the current state. Gnasher is running, lancer is fine, b button range is reduced… you can wall bounce… you’re just whining to whine. I went like 30-1 today in tdm, over 4,000 points against diamond players so I can’t complain.
But here we go. Insult someone when all else fails. Ok then. A grown ■■■ man hate a game you aren’t good at.
Like the game will never be perfect. It’s better than gow4. I’m a top pvp player in every gears that came out so I know bad. Gow3 was terrible with that sawed off. Right when I would get to enjoy a gnasher battle a sawed og appears… now that was terrible & I gave gow3 away for that reason.

There are complaints that have nothing to do with skill. Bugs, matchmaking issues, design, store and ToD etc. And it’s perfectly normal to critisize gameplay even if you are good at it lol. It’s the easiest Gears game to play after all. At least it was some months ago, haven’t played for a good while. Because of issues outside gameplay.

It’s not the easiest. That’s why people hate on it. They want it to be easy. If it was easy more people would be satisfied.
I don’t play anything but pvp. Like you have to be perfect & 2-0 teams to even get points at diamond level, that’s not easy at all. & if you lose you derank or lose 150+ points when you only achieve 8 or 50 points a match for 2-0. That doesn’t sound easy.
I disagree, it’s the most casual. But even so, there’s more reasons not to be satisfied than gameplay.

Well I disagree. You have to be perfect to grind to masters. It’s not casual when you’re fighting same tier players… if it was so easy why did you stop.
I don’t see what’s wrong honestly. Everything is really fine tuned. Last couple weeks the gib range was stupendous but they fixed it … I mean matchmaking does suck when you’re high level because it gives you patatoes as team mates but I just enjoy proper gnasher battles I guess… & this recent one has been the most proper in a while for me… everything else is noise… if it’s not pvp I don’t care I guess… but doesn’t mean my standards are low if I just care about pvp…
Campaign was full of bugs and crashing when playing co-op and it didn’t feel like Gears anyway. Awful experience.
Matchmaking had issues, lobbies constantly dissolving etc. EU had serious server issues, 150+ ping every other game, nearly unplayable.
Mtx stuff is disgusting. It’s EA and Activision level bad. ToD grind is awful, stuff like this has no place in full-priced AAA game. Can’t support practises like this, it’s cancer to gaming.
There’s lack of maps and cool content. Emotes, bloodsprays and other stuff for kids isn’t Gears of War imo.
Horde is completely messed up. It’s made like this just to sell mtx. They should just go back to classic style…but it won’t make them as much money. Disgusting.
And the mode I play most… KotH. Just doesn’t feel like brutal Gears of War action anymore. It is indeed so easy to get kills, also easier to die of course. It more like a run 'n gun game like Judgment. Good for some casual fun but that’s it. I’d still play if it wasn’t for other issues and I can see they wanted to attract more casual audience. Epic tried this too with Sawed-off shotgun, retro lancer and Judgment. Older games had much more intense gnasher duels imo. Gears 3 duels against hyperbouncers was something else hehe.
And finally, obviously it’s hard to play on top level, no matter how hard or easy the game is. If you’re playing against the best, it’s hard. But the overall gameplay is more casual and easy because they wanted new players and make it easier to jump into action. Didn’t work, no surprise there.

Gears is mostly dominated by the PvP players, so Gears of War Judgement was not a fan favourite at all, the Stim Grenade unbalanced the game terribly. I never player PvP with other players, i played it Vs A.I. and even i found it too easy. But, i only did it for the achievements, i never went back afterwards.
The Stim Grenade worked well in Horde (Overrun), and i am positive it will work well in Gears 5, or even Gears 6, it is definately better than the Stim we have now, that i do not agree with, looks and feels wrong.
Gears of War 4 was a great, but it had its serious flaws, such as the Engineer Class, i never understoon why there was an Engineer Class, when everyone could build willy nilly, i hated that, i still hate it in Gears 5 Horde. The Engineer is the only character that should build, have access to the Fabricator and have the ability to lock down Fortifications.
Gears 5 is an improvement, yet people hate the Hero system, it is sheer crap, the Class system is stil in there somewhere, hidden under all the layers, Escape is a let down, should not even exist in Gears at all. PvP always has problems, the Tour of Duty is just silly, although if you like Halo Reach, it is a vast improvement on that monstrosity.
Ok, Gears 5 is not that bad, yet it had the potential to be something terrific, and that is reason enough to hate the damn game, let along being broken on release.
If you like Gears 5 then you really do have low standards.
But don’t worry, this has already been discussed in other topics (remember the example of Batman and Robin).
If you’re disappointed by 5 then it’s safe you’re not a hardcore gears fan. Probably was never one to begin with.

don’t really care what any whiners think. GoW5 is legit. Always some person whose gonna gripe. I’ve seen it all. But of course insult people that actually like the game for the lack of skill you provide to the game, perhaps?
I mean you’re talking to an og gears player. I’ve seen sh*t. I’ve played through the worst of times. This current state is so improved. Pvp wise. I remember all the glitches & lag gears has to offer. The host was atrocious because sometimes that host could mess with his modem & lag people out. I know because it happened to me a lot.
People would rage & disconnect their modem, then plug it back in & get an easy win. Lol… the good old days… or glitch out the map when a teams losing bad & ruin all the fun.
This current gears is just quick & more player friendly.
My opinion. Since I’m just a pvp player that can’t relate to anything other than pvp.
The pvp is as competitive as it’s ever been. Everyone be wanting to hit masters & get those skins. But it’s hard because you have to be perfect to do it. I’ve done it but it was hard. One loss will set you back so much. & people at high level don’t play to lose.
