I do agree with you @Link23809 if we could have more maps I think we’re mostly all set. .
a few tweaks on horde on ammo economy and I think we could have a blast on gears 5 .

I didn’t have problems hitting stuff on the most part.
There were parts of campaign where I had to use two shots on wretches, when I can probably play through on G1 right now and one shot every one (in fact i did about a year ago running a freind through the OG games).
It did ef up how I played pvp in g1 though. I played for gibs, not chip damage. In UE I found that I had to play for multiple shots a lot of the time to compete.
Where as my ‘game’ in g1 exe was to never hit reload and to try to one shot gib everyone I fought.
As much as I hate ue’s ‘chnaged for the sake of it’ gnasher. I’d play UE over g4 or g5 anyday.

Yeah they’re almost there. Hopefully the Operation 3 delay is worth it and by then they have most of the key issues/improvements addressed. Then we can just fully enjoy Operation 3. Of course, Operation 3 also has to be great and come packed with content, primarily maps.
Time will tell. For now I am still enjoying the game, but anxiously waiting for new content.

judgement was much funner then gears4 and gears5 hands down, campaign, and overrun.
Also 3 was better than 2. That’s just facts

Imo Gears1 had such an unstable Mp experience that placing shots in almost any situation even with the gnasher in CQC became a total gamble

You’re not the only one. A lot of people are extremely disappointed in this game. The game was rushed to be out before the Terminator movie came out. The movie sucked as well. And I’m a Terminator fan. The game is so bad that people are going back to Gears 3, and 4. Rod ran away. The main dude in charge of the game. It honestly doesn’t look good at all when the main lead takes off like that. The franchise is actually in trouble. If Cliffy B isnt allowed back for Gears 6. The game has a serious chance of dieing out. T.C also needs to stop pulling an E.A and start listening to the fans.

Still to many back and forth tuning with the game and especially with the gnasher.
I hope they nail it down in the future. But all this back and forth with the tuning it’s too frustrating to catch your bearings and enjoy the game. Especially this late after release adds more to the fristration.
Maps is a ball they dropped also I agree.
i enjoy gears 5. I think horde is better than 4 which I got very board of after 100 waves and would only play the 25 wave specials.
Escape is my jam. Love it. Reminds me of destiny strikes.
MP is overall better than 4. Ranked is finally fixed to the point where it’s enjoyable. Again.
I will say I’m most annoyed by far at the store and tour of duty. TC got it completely wrong there.
There are 2 types of players, players who don’t mind playing and earning characters, and players who don’t have time for a grind and are okay with paying to get them.
4 screwed up. They pissed off the one set cuz you would have to play for hours and possibly not get 1 legendary character because of a horrible loot/pack system. They also pissed off those who would just pay 5 bucks to have the character cuz they would end up having to pay 30 bucks and still not get it.
Gears 5 team flat out failed. The devs with this model should be fired.
Here’s how they failed:
They said “oh no more loot system, and a paying store so everyone knows what they are buying and everyone will be happy”. WRONG!!!
They LOCKED earnable characters behind a tour of duty. So people who just wanna pay can’t. That tour ENDS and those characters vanish and can never be earnable again. So players who don’t mind grinding who missed them or couldn’t play as much can’t get them.
They made a store. Skins can only be purchased. They can NEVER be earned. Characters vanish after a week and may make a comeback for money only. Again, pissing those who only want to earn characters off.
What should have happened?
Continuous tours. Didn’t finish operation 1 tour? That’s fine, it’s still there, go ahead and try to get those objectives. In the mean time here is operation 2. You don’t wanna play for these? Buy them in the store with iron.
NO ONE cares if you earned your team metal gnasher skin from tour or bought it for 5 bucks.
I would actually look forward to the store knowing winter Fahz is either 500 iron or 1000 kills in versus Or 5,000 kills in horde this week only. People would still pay.
Some skins can be “earnable only” for ranked or horde rewards.
Gameplay is fine. If they fix this, many people would be happy in my opinion.

As much as people bash Judgment, it was a smooth game imo. It had tried to do things in a completely different way and I know what didn’t feel right. Honestly COG VS COG in multiplayer was the worst decision for those developers. OVERRUN was a fantastic player vs player mode. Tho I must admit I did not like Survival.
Gears 4 is actually a good game but you know the lag problems in multiplayer is what is wrong. The Campaign is not that amazing but it looked good. Gears 5 Campaign is wonderful and probably the best change I’ve seen since Gears 1 & 2.

Hope so. I’ve uninstalled the game for now because it always ended in frustration. The long download is the barrier that keeps me from coming back for now thankfully lol.
I dont plan on returning for a while until the storm has passed. I’m giving an honest guesstimate of maybe 6 to 9 months till I redownload.
Hope they can work out the kinks by then.
