Heys guys, I don’t usually get on the Forum but today I accomplished something huge that I wanted to share with people : All Escape Hives Mastered Solo without the use of Cole. I’ve now joined Commanderch and TurnerBurner922 in being the only people (publicly with proof) to Master every hive solo! The different characters I used for these solos consist of Lahni, Kait, Fahz, Paduk, Clayton and Mac. Most of them are done with Lahni because she’s my favorite character. I also made myself not play Cole because I feel like he simplifies the game and it doesnt even feel like master difficulty anymore. The Top 5 most difficult hives for me in order are: 1. The Surge as Lahni 2. The Split as Kait 3. The End as Lahni 4. Both The Line solos as Lahni and 5. The Warren as OP4 Lahni. There were alot of struggling and glitches to be had during all the attempts of these Solos but I couldn’t have done it without the motivation from my friends.

Nice work dude! Very good job man. I’ve already seen most of them. I was especially proud when you were able to do “Paduk on the end”. I didn’t think anyone would actually duplicate my best work. Welcome to the club
Wow some high iq plays right there. Never considered just running from all those enemies, and using cloak like that. Heck, I’d be too chicken to face off those deadeyes with just my talon too lol. Great ways to use Kait on display there. Will have to take a look some of the other ones too. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Man. Split took me awhile to complete, The most consistent way of dealing with the enemies before the safe room and after the safe room was to just cloak past them.
I’ve seen a handful of Split solo vids, and this is by far the easiest method I’ve seen so far. Don’t get me wrong, I mean that in a complimentary way. Work smarter not harder as they say. The whole point of the solos, I believe, is to outsmart the enemies, figure out the easiest, most efficient way possible.
Yeah there is a certain level of “doing the bare minimum” while still completing the hive. Most hives you can skip sections but some you have to kill most or the majority. It’s a fun balance
I recommend watching solo vids from all the main solo runners. I’ve done very few solo runs only on some of the easier maps, but my main motivation for watching is not really to attempt solos, it’s just learning the best ways of using the characters. To be able to solo a map with any character I think requires the person figure out the best ways to use said characters, most of which will be applicable to standard team play as well. Sure, you could learn the best ways of using the characters from here on the forums, or from other vids, as well, but often much of that advice will be concentrated in those solo vids. I also find watching in a vid a better way of learning as opposed to reading a forum post for the most part.
Solo vids are easier to digest than team-play vids IMO because when I watch a vid of someone playing I’m usually watching to get better with a certain character. What better way to do that than to watch how an expert plays that character, studying how they use that character when faced with all the stressful situations that may arise in a solo run?
I should amend a bit my earlier post. That doesn’t apply all the time and just because it doesn’t doesn’t mean it’s not still a great solo vid for other reasons. Obviously, solo vids where the player is fighting most of the enemies will be more applicable to general play. My team would be pretty upset if I ran away as Kait and left them behind to fight the enemies, lol. As a specific example of what I was trying to say, I would credit @TurnerBurner922 for how he deals with the Scions as Paduk in his The End vid. I’ve used that method to deal with scions myself in team play. I’m pretty terrible with Lahni. I’ve been meaning to improve my Lahni skills. I wager the Surge is one where she would need to do a lot of fighting, so Koty’s Lahni Surge vid is next on my to-watch list…
and in the first few minutes I’ve already learned something. I hadn’t considered using Embar to stun enemies to open them up for melee. Will definitely remember that when I’m playing as Lahni in a map that has Embar.
I don’t watch many solo runs. I might watch a little of them, because it takes away from my enjoyment in learning the map/character(s). If I knew how to strategically attack every enemy in the game, where is the fun in me learning the game at its core? Plus, I just enjoy playing the game rather I win or lose and not to concern about how to beat a particular enemy(ies) or not. I just enjoy a challenge, even through dying a ton, lol. It’s what keeps me enjoying the game, personally.
But for certainty, I will always give props to anyone that solo maps on Master, that in alone is an accomplishment no matter who its with (even though Cole is easy to use, it still takes skill because theirs a lot bad Coles out there).
