Achievements have stopped tracking on the Xbox Series X too. Just got a mission that should have logged me with three deviant enemy hijacks and kills towards the Jacked achievements and no progress was logged after the match. Thinking back this has been a problem for at least a week as I noticed my ticker explosion kills hadn’t moved since Tuesday last week and I’ve been playing and killing daily since then.
I read in the other Gears Forum that other products also have problems with registration of achievements - one point more for the developers to look into this matter and not just leave it lying around… @TC_GEARS
still not working - unfortunately I can’t refund the game anymore because of the time invest I already made. It’s my first approach at the Gears universe, coming from XCOM / strategic games interest, and although I know that achievements on a third party platform are not everything, I really like games and game studios that care about their customers. Gears Tactics is not THAT old as of now, but the lack of interest is quite obvious now to me - sadly. Will think about investing more time in this universe and buying more products.
I hope that the ticket communication will prove me wrong in some days (when 14 working days are over).
also, felt obliged to write a review on the steam platform pointing at this situation. will see if I feel that it should be changed to a more positive view in the future, depending on the answers we get (or not).
I’ve currently stopped playing now I’m aware of this bug so that my Insane, no dying squad members run doesn’t get anymore f’d than it already is. Would appreciate someone from the studio to bloody address this.
That’s a shame. Now that I’m done with Gears 5 I was gonna go back and finish up my last remaining Tactics achievements (the 2 situational kill ones for the Scout and the last ones tied to total # kills). But if the achievements aren’t tracking then I don’t know if that’s worth it. Guess I’ll at least fill out a trouble ticket like everyone else.
my hope is that the more trouble tickets with the same issue they get, the more likely it is that they wake up.
We don’t know if it’s a game related issue, the Microsoft servers, or the steam interface or anything - but at least the devs here could post that they are aware…
Well it isn’t steam as this affects the game on Xbox Series X as well. Doubt it’s microsoft’s servers as other game’s achievements work fine. I’m thinking something on TCs side tbh.
Well you guys are in luck, my ticket is open since August 11th, they (I mean their automatic bot) replied after 14 days, asking whether the problem still persists in which case I replied within 5mins that it still does.

I have re-hijacked ALL enemies (even in a fresh file) without luck and since apparently two other achievements didn’t track towards Seriously Jacked, I ultimately gave up and am still waiting for the devs to actually fix it.
Sounds about right. I’ve had that email twice (and replied) and nothing came of it, and that was last year. I wouldn’t get your hopes up.

It’s a damn joke. If I get an issue on Halo, I get a ticket response from a human within a day. With TC… that appear to be using the same ticket system as Halo’s developers and also under Microsoft… nothing. MS need to look at the management of TC imo. They’re obviously not paying attention!
Been having the same issue as everyone else. Been playing for about a week now and none of the cumulative achievements are tracking. I sent a ticket to report the issue. Sadly, I don’t have any new information, but there is strength in numbers and figured i’d add my story to the rest.
Fingers crossed that TC does something to fix this.
got the automated ticket request answer today - that was even faster than 14 working days, but well, some people work on weekends. Maybe not TC, because the answer is just that my ticket is old any maybe it has misteriously resolved itself? If not, I shall get active and reply, else ticket will be closed , status resolved.
I replied, pointing also in the direction to the forum as evidence that it’s not only me.

Very frustrating, many of the achievements are not progressing. I give up on gears tactics.
They haven’t acknowledged mine beyond the ‘thanks for submitting a ticket’ auto message after a week now. Terrible really when other Ms owned ticket systems reply, update you and check up on your ticket without being prompted to.
Suppose they don’t care about a single player game since there’s no ESports money to be made
Can confirm I also got a reply on the 11th, and I reiterated the issue via email reply. Haven’t heard anything else.
