A great update to break the game on pc

Hello, same problem for me with RTX3070, I9 9900K, 32Go DDR4, SSD.

I created discussion :

same issue here. ryzen 7 5800x evga ftw3 ultra 3080 horrible performance on my 3440x1440 with the fps being wildly inconsistent. tried my 1080p monitor and it was similar fps but even lower. lmao.
gpu usage is just always ā– ā– ā– ā– .

I also found gsync does not work anymore in this game and that it seemed to cause stuttering, however the fps is still garbage with gsync disabled and directly related to the gpu usage. you see the fps and gpu usage go down and up at the same time. drivers or game is ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– .

January 21 2021 and still random fps drops stuttering and all kind of horrible performance randomly, sometimes in the same map and the same game mode it runs smoothly but the next match it stutters, specially when certain bosses spawns, I’m not using a monitor, I use a TV FullHD 40 inch, so disabling G-Sync doesn’t apply, no other overlay applications except Xbox Game Bar to talk with friends on groups so disabling that also isn’t a solution.

Disable ASYNC within the Gears settings.

That was the one thing that brought a more consistent performance to my PC.

Disabling gsync helped me but I didn’t want to leave it disabled so I tried Async and it fixed my issue even with gsync enabled.

That feature is always disabled and also I enable It with worst performance. I posted above several days ago an example of my stuttering issue with my GTX 1070 and Ryzen 5 3600, I had a 1600 with the same issue and I thought replacing the CPU will solve It. And I watched a YouTube video from a user with RTX 3060 Ti and the same stutter persist. So or is a lack of Optimization with Nvidia GPUs or I don’t know.

My game isn’t perfect but it’s a step above where it was at which I’ll obviously take even if I’m not happy.

But yeah, I’m on a 2080ti with an i7 8700K and the stuttering happens at random times still. It ran perfect until OP3 which brought on stutters after 5 KotH matches. This persisted until the very day OP4 launched where it became an every 2 match issue so it became worse. Now in OP5 it happens in my first match.

Why they keep making it worse is beyond me.

I uploaded another video how bad it runs

I used in this case MSI Afterburner to show the huge fps and frame time drops randomly, I never use this software when I play normally but in this case I use It to prove isn’t my imagination. I even replaced the thermal pads and thermal paste of my graphics card, and for obvious reasons I can’t buy another GPU due lack of stock on any store around the world.

I’ve never had any problems or stuttering on my pc. I have a 2070 super and I play on all medium settings thought to get max fps.

I don’t get it.

I constantly have stuttering on a superior PC build. I don’t have any faulty hardware and this issue only exists on Gears 4/5. I can play any other game on Ultra and it’ll run fine but even medium settings creates stutters on Gears 5. As I mentioned earlier it has gotten worse with every OP starting with OP3.
