So I have yet to buy GEARS 5 yet, and based on the forums , I think I’ll wait awhile. Although I’ve been a fan from the beginning and even have a great cosplay suit, the forums have provided a wealth of information as to whether I should buy it or not…So thank you all for your posts!!!

1v1 situation ur dead most of them time and it goes through cover its easy to say counters but in situations in 1v1 like the video as you can see its doesnt matter 17 shots
I mean it’s a power weapon. You shouldn’t be winning 1v1s against pretty much any of the power weapons in the hands of a decent player.
A full gnasher shot does ~70% so by that logic the lancer would need 20 shots to down without hitting any headshots. Active lancer doesn’t increase damage only rate of fire and stopping power.
The only real strange thing from the video was the seemingly lack of stopping power.
Actually thought the clip was pretty cool because of that haha

Even without its constant issues, it doesn’t feel like gears. The things that were changed/added just seem gimmicky.
Also, I made a mistake watching your clip again. I got just as angry for you as I did before. That’s some major BS. 
I laughed after watching this only because I know I’d be losing my mind if this happened to me.

That was painful to watch, it’s impossible for him to have survived that.
With Gears games I’ve always completed it, got collectibles, completed insane, done 50 waves of Horde and then started Versus.
With Gears 5 I did Campaign and have went straight into Versus to see how bad it was. I’m not impressed. The tech test was a joke to Gears fans and the final product is no different.
- The way you describe Frankenstein imago isn’t. He is like that. He has different body parts attached to him.
- Most people aren’t aware but having the breaker mace equipped increases the player health. Not sure exactly how much tho. A significant amount.
Its not a problem that you get a health boost from the breaker mace ( i dont like it but thats my opinion)
I think the ammount of health is a problem and the range is inconsistent.
Yeah, it’s like when you think the game had hit the bottom, only to discover that the pit it’s falling into is bottomless…

Ya its the mace or stick weapon thingy (the actual name escapes me at the moment). It gives a health boost when you carry it. I think TC did this to make the weapon more relevant. Its exelent for chancing down the leader in guardian btw.
Im not happy with the game either. The hip fire is basically the sawed off from gears 3. I dont get exited anynore when i kill someone like that anymore because i know i barely used any skill.

You stood dead still firing at a target running at you carrying a power weapon , you had a few options there with roll back and fire or wallbounce to the righthand side with the shotgun once he had gone past you with the lunge.
Not easy i know in the heat of battle but it just comes from years of playing versus online and anticipating peoples movements… No idea how long you been playing but if its only a month or 2 then you’ve just found out how big the skill gap really is…

You must be new too, but its fine… COD is ok for kids running about with rifles but this is a whole different level when you play online, Clearly the OP is lacking in tactics and general awareness of how to manoeuvre a character in order to survive. im not a pro or a competitive player but ive had plenty of 4v1 scenarios and come out the other side purely because i understand the mechanics of the game and how to fend off less skilled players who rush me .

Clearly you’re a moron and think everyone just started playing the game. 17 active shots with a lancer should’ve been more than enough to down the guy whether he was standing still or trying to run and gun. Even if he tried to wall bounce the lunge with the mace still would’ve killed him.
I have plenty of experience with gears kiddo.
