Yes, Gears 5 is clearly a big disappointment … all the things I hope G5 will be better than G4 : IT’S WORSE !!! Seriously … How it is possible ?! It’s the fact it’s launch on gamepass and they want to realise more profit with less work ? I don’t know but the sound is awfull (no sound for all is on your back, never hear a player who run in your back etc etc …), server (in Europe) are BAD, completely BAD … we play a 5 vs 5 (supposed to have a 60Hz tick rate … ) but it’s laggy worse than an old BF3 (16vs16 !) or any BF with more people at the same time … the game is all ready dead or near as dead in Europe today … the solo campaign have good moment but seriously a great part of it is annoying … and I really prefer the economic system of G4 than what they made in G5 … etc etc so much point I really prefer in G4 and are totally bad or worse in G5 …

Coalition kill Gears of War for me with G5. I prefer to return on BFV, it is not perfect on servers sometime but Dice/EA add content for FREE (maps, skin, guns ) and made a good work for balançing the game (just some point who are not great but I love this game) and I have so much fun to play it … RIP Gears V.

Reverse 2-piece downs them before a ground slam can hit, two people shooting simultaneously will beat a mace user going for the fast swings. One lancer user and one shotty beats out the mace too, and snipe can headshot during the ground slam swing animation.

So I have yet to buy GEARS 5 yet, and based on the forums , I think I’ll wait awhile. Although I’ve been a fan from the beginning and even have a great cosplay suit, the forums have provided a wealth of information as to whether I should buy it or not…So thank you all for your posts!!!

1v1 situation ur dead most of them time and it goes through cover its easy to say counters but in situations in 1v1 like the video as you can see its doesnt matter 17 shots

I mean it’s a power weapon. You shouldn’t be winning 1v1s against pretty much any of the power weapons in the hands of a decent player.
A full gnasher shot does ~70% so by that logic the lancer would need 20 shots to down without hitting any headshots. Active lancer doesn’t increase damage only rate of fire and stopping power.

The only real strange thing from the video was the seemingly lack of stopping power.

Even without its constant issues, it doesn’t feel like gears. The things that were changed/added just seem gimmicky.

Also, I made a mistake watching your clip again. I got just as angry for you as I did before. That’s some major BS. :roll_eyes:

That was painful to watch, it’s impossible for him to have survived that.

With Gears games I’ve always completed it, got collectibles, completed insane, done 50 waves of Horde and then started Versus.

With Gears 5 I did Campaign and have went straight into Versus to see how bad it was. I’m not impressed. The tech test was a joke to Gears fans and the final product is no different.

  2. Most people aren’t aware but having the breaker mace equipped increases the player health. Not sure exactly how much tho. A significant amount.

Its not a problem that you get a health boost from the breaker mace ( i dont like it but thats my opinion)
I think the ammount of health is a problem and the range is inconsistent.

Ya its the mace or stick weapon thingy (the actual name escapes me at the moment). It gives a health boost when you carry it. I think TC did this to make the weapon more relevant. Its exelent for chancing down the leader in guardian btw.

Im not happy with the game either. The hip fire is basically the sawed off from gears 3. I dont get exited anynore when i kill someone like that anymore because i know i barely used any skill.

2 pointers if i may

You stood dead still firing at a target running at you carrying a power weapon , you had a few options there with roll back and fire or wallbounce to the righthand side with the shotgun once he had gone past you with the lunge.

Not easy i know in the heat of battle but it just comes from years of playing versus online and anticipating peoples movements… No idea how long you been playing but if its only a month or 2 then you’ve just found out how big the skill gap really is…
