13 days until OP5. Give predictions here

Lol, hahaha…

If we were to stop asking for, commenting on, and complaining about everything which TC said “ohh, it’s coming” there would be little to post about

Until it is HERE, it is NOT here…

You have your priorities for the game, i have mine.

It’s strange, no teaser or no real new informations about the operation 5… it’s time, no ?!

No, just TC.

Also, it’s the weekend right now.

I am disgusted at a lack of Dizzy in this game. Truly truly disgusted.

Surely we should hear something soon… Then again Operation 4 was somewhat played down in terms of advertising.

I’m hoping something will be mentioned about whether they are revising re-up levels. Sitting at re-up 34, level 100, waiting for news on that before I decide whether to re-up again.

I predict that on 17th November, we’ll be able to scrap excess skill cards, but a bug will mean that we don’t get any Gear Coins for it. It’ll probably be 2-3 weeks before they drop an emergency patch TU to fix this problem; and any oweing amounts of Gear Coins won’t be compensated to players until the end of January 2021.

That said, despite any inevitable bugs we get, I hope everyone finds a way to enjoy Christmas! It’s been a pissy year.

I predict there will be a bad bug in the cards / scrapping. People will lose thier levels, cards and gears coins. Before the update im going to take loads of screenshots that i can submit with my inevitable ticket. Whats the release date for cyberpunk?

Rather than worry about any of that, I’ll simply keep an eye on the forum to see if any threads pop up about it.

Let one of you fine folks be the guinea pigs lol

This forum will LIGHT UP like aurora borealis in the sky when op5 hits.

Oh definitely. I’m considering not even playing the first day and just sitting on the forums reading all of the angry threads.

Not to mention by not playing I can potentially avoid any crazy ■■■■ that the update caused.

Funny you say that. I actually do that. Also it might take you a day or two just to read through all the threads.

I’m sure there’ll be at least one thread that I absolutely adore and sit in the entire day.

I’ll have to try to stay on topic when the flood of threads hit hahaha

It will be overwhelming.

I’ll have to build the equivalent of Noah’s Ark to navigate the forums on op 5’s launch.

Maybe I should make a thread titled “The Ark” for those who potentially get lost in the flood.

They intentionally stopped devs from making tile sets though, so they will definitely have more than 3 maps, I strongly suspect 5 because people love that number (its a psychology thing, just saying) and if they do have more it’ll be mid operation (ports definitely)

OP4 had 3 maps and that’s even without the extra devs on board, no way in hell we’re gonna get 3. 4 is the lowest honestly, but 5 is what I would bet on.

OP5 will easily be the largest Operation yet (OP4 was previous respectively)

The real issue is quality vs quantity, like if they bring back Drydock, Rustlung, River, etc. (trash tier versus maps) it won’t mean much, if anything it’ll just hurt the map pool.

any patches will 100% be a part of the TU for December (they have to have a TU for Hivebuster DLC of course)

No one really knows how buggy OP5 will be, the question I ask is “does it matter”? The game has been a buggy mess since launch, why would you care now? Is that enough to take away from all the positives? Idk I’m just saying that bug free Gears 5 is an impossibility at this point and we’ll just have to accept it :pensive:

Well, it all comes down to how it affects gameplay. If it causes constant crashes and people getting dashboarded, then the game literally becomes unplayable. Other things may affect how the game is played like skill cards not working, but the game would still be playable. I guess alot depends on how we all individually enjoy.

But if people’s skill cards were scrapped and no Gear Coins received, then the PVE community would be fuming. People who only play PVP probably wouldn’t be that bothered.

I’ve been dashboarded more in Gears 5 than I have probably in my lifetime of gaming, its insane. I suspect the reason is mainly just that its a horribly optimized game (probably build for better hardware ala PC’s) and no amount of bug fixes will change that.

lots of minor bugs don’t really mean too much and can usually be circumvented, but a poorly designed game is on a whole other level.

Edit: no operation will ever fix this, the only hope is that the game is much more stable on next gen systems.

You’re right, but Dana said Op4 had good advertising… lol
