13 days until OP5. Give predictions here

A huge disappointment…

Thats my prediction for OP5

Thanks ladies.I feel like a queen😊

Thankfully we’re all used to that by now.If they add in Tyro Station at the very least with the train running through constantly then I will have a different view on it.And of course the legendary Day One, either one will make me happys. If both than I no complain anymore.I no cry anymore🙂

Good amount of maps, lots of characters and no glitches would be perfect. But we shall see.

It feels kind of tragic that disappointment rather than excitement is the expected statement for most Gears players, myself included.

You’re new to this Gears community/TC relationship, aren’t you??

Oh no no, noticed I said “would” because we know it won’t be the case.

I think yes, there will be some bugs, but all in all, most people will be elated by the next operation.

As per my conversation 2 posts up with @anon81102100 - you’re new to this Gears community/TC relationship, aren’t you??

Feels like I could just trot this out repeatedly… anyone fancy making me a meme?? Ha ha!

I know there’s a bunch of complaining historically. But i think TC will knock this one out of the park, by and large, with a few quibbles here and there.

yeah…

OP4 changed a lot of Horde heros into fun viable options, it added gear coins as a way of level up skill cards, and the TOD offered a reasonable number of those coins (moves from 5 to 6 in purple and especially gold card are prohibitively expensive, but others were fine).

OP5 - I don’t really care about new heros/classes… they are going to nerf some fun classes… No one has said anything promising about any improvements… No one said anything about finally enabling us to turn useless duplicates into coins to upgrade other cards… They talked about separating character skins from abilities, a move which I don’t really support anymore…

So yeah… The best case scenario for me, based on everything I’ve heard, is a mild disappointment. that’s the BEST case. I expect it will be a big disappointment.

people are seriously thinking it’ll be 2 or 3 maps, no wonder they feel disappointed, they expect OP5 to be like OP4 and everything so far has suggested it’ll be a massive operation compared to all the ones previously (DLC, lots of maps, lots of characters, some big overhauls for Horde and/or escape.

@Omen_LP what exactly would YOU want from OP5? I’m curious.

Abililty to scrap duplicates for coins.

Bleed calculations which work off the ACTUAL damage inflicted, not the lowest possible base damage

Damage modifiers/perks which properly stack with preexisting modifiers, rather than are a simplistic addition to the lowest possible base damage (you know, so if a single bullet does 600 damage, and we apply a 50% damage perk that same bullet will now do 900 damage…
Not 650… Not 675… Not 715… Etc, etc.

I"m sure i will be disappointed…

its been confirmed multiple times, that being said it may not be there on Nov 17th…

why is that significant?

why is that significant?

I was expecting you to give some “pie in the sky” wishlist, what I got was some random nonconsequential changes, I’m disappointed with your disappointment :joy:

I hope it brings new maps and new objectives for horde
new characters

That everything so far suggests a massive operation does not equal a massive operation actually coming. Players can’t compare to anything than previous OP’s and according to those there ain’t no reason to keep the hope up.

It may sound like almost an entire new Gears game will be released shortly and in my opinion that has kind of been the case even in previous OP’s though we ended up with a couple of characters and a couple of maps.

I still think we will have 2-3 maps and lots of new glitches and bugs. And personally I don’t care of DLC (have not even played the campaign) or new characters (nothing but cosmetics).

My prediction: If duplicate classes are allowed in Escape, then the mode will become a complete sh*tshow.

There are only like 2-3 truly difficult hives right now. I’m not interested in seeing a bunch of 3 Cole or 3 Kait lobbies so people can just breeze through everything.

10 new horde maps.

My main prediction is that the PvE class separation is an utter disaster. Even if it works ok without bugs, it will make the actual experience harder because now you cannot just look at a character and know what class they are.

I also bet they won’t fix the chainsaw “glitch” that crept in with Op3 because I now believe they did it on purpose to reduce the effectiveness of it. I vaguely recall a previous game - Gears 2 maybe - having a similar thing where you would flinch if you tried to rev it after being shot.

I think this will be an excellent update, just not for me. More maps but class duplicates which I think will be the end for me in PVE. I just don’t like the nerfs across the board that will have to happen to allow duplicates, or the don’t nerf the class cards and it will become an absolute breeze.

Either way I don’t see me doing 50 waves more than once on each map.

I hope a lot more thought has gone into maps, the reason I don’t replay 50 waves is the fabricator position is always the same, with frenzy that doesn’t happen quite so much.

I hope the fab blocking is gone. Personally I’d like to see blocking still be a tactic but melee damage to the fab takes away the money in the fabricator.

I’m really not bothered about skins or new characters at this point but most others are, so plenty should drop there. I just wish pve was open character and class selection but still only one of each.

I’m hoping for decent rifle damage perks to most of the classes so even playing a non high DPS person becomes more fun on higher levels.

I hope they fix the scale on re ups.

I hope boost also boosts card drops. Boost without increased card drops is not time saving for pve. The grind is the same. Guess what you would sell more iron too.
